Sony Cyber-shot TX55 easy to capture the moment with DSLR-style still photos

Although I’ve never been a huge fan of the Cybershot line, it’s interesting to see how much tech Sony has been dumping into these things of late. For example, this $350 camera shoots full 1080i videoand 12-megapixel stills at exactly the same time with no interruption.
It has 5X optical zoom and some sort of 16-megapixel 10X digital zoom and can also shoot in 3D. Panoramas are easy and massive at 42 megapixels. It will be available in September.
I’d love to see the final quality that comes out of this slim shooter and, while I’m sure it’s technically impressive, I’d worry wee bit about overkill.
Two new Cyber-shot cameras from Sony make it easy to capture the moment with DSLR-style still photos, Full HD video and amazing 3D images.
The Cyber-shot TX55 and WX30 both feature a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor and new ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ technology that boosts zoom range to 10x without quality loss at the image sensor’s maximum resolution (16.2 million pixels). The two easy-to-use models also mark a Cyber-shot first with the new Picture Effect mode that broadens artistic possibilities with no editing software needed.

Cyber-shot TX55

Just 12.2mm slim, the Cyber-shot TX55 is the world’s thinnest camera that captures Full HD AVCHD video clips as well as 16.2 megapixel still images. It also shoots super-detailed panoramas with 42.9 megapixel resolution, 3D Sweep Panorama and 3D Still Image to enjoy on your 3D TV3. The camera’s back panel is dominated by a super-size 8.3cm / 3.3-inch Xtra Fine OLED wide touchscreen: it is perfect for showing off your photos and movie clips with incredible detail.
Enabling its incredible slimness, the TX55 is the first Cyber-shot camera that includes a slot to accept Memory Stick Micro (M2) and microSD/SDHC flash memory cards. Sony offers a choice of ultra-compact, high quality media in capacities up to 16GB (newly introduced Memory Stick Micro (Mark2), ideal for AVCHD video shooting) / 16GB (microSDHC).
Super-compact and sleekly curvaceous, the Cyber-shot WX30 offers an equally tempting range of imaging options for stills, Full HD video and 3D shooting. It is also the first-ever Cyber-shot WX series model that features a spacious 7.5cm (3”) Xtra Fine LCD wide touch screen for beautifully simple fingertip operation.

Best-ever stills and Full HD movie shooting
Each camera features a highly sensitive Exmor R CMOS sensor with 16.2 effective megapixels resolution. Whether you are shooting still images or Full HD video, you will be rewarded with incredible image detail and ultra-low picture noise – even in low light conditions.
Both Cyber-shot models introduce the brand-new ‘Clear Image Zoom’ that boosts magnification without lowering pixel count in the final image. Exclusive to Sony, ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ processing further extends the camera’s 5x optical zoom range, allowing full-resolution 16.2 megapixel images with a maximum 10x zoom.
‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ technology also significantly boosts still image quality during movie recording. At a touch of the shutter button, ‘Dual Rec’ grabs detail-packed 12 megapixel-level still photos without interrupting Full HD video shooting.
Newly enhanced with additional electronic image stabilisation for vertical and horizontal handshake correction, the SteadyShot Active Mode compensates for handheld camera movements during Full HD video shooting. You’ll enjoy crisper, blur-free movie clips at all zoom settings, even if you’re holding the camera while walking.
Intelligent Sweep Panorama also features HR (High Resolution) mode, letting you capture breath-taking 42.9 megapixel panoramas. Just sweep the camera: then enjoy the results on your connected HD TV, or zoom in with PlayStation 3 to reveal the finest details.
3D Still Image captures dramatic 3D photos without needing a big, bulky camera with stereoscopic lenses. Just press the shutter button once: 3D Still Image grabs a pair of frames in quick succession, estimating depth information to create a dramatic three-dimensional still image. Other 3D shooting options include 3D Sweep Panorama and Sweep Multi Angle.

Sony Android Tablets will come to UK by bestlaptopbatteryuk

Sony’s long expected entry into the tablet arena is reportedly set to kick off in the UK in September
Sony’s answer to the Apple iPad is expected in the UK sometime during September. The rumour comes as Sony released a two minute teaser video of the devices. In April Sony unveiled its first two tablet PCs, dubbed S1 and S2.Both are said to run Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and have both Wi-Fi and WAN (3G/4G) compatibility. The more conventional S1 has a 9.4-inch display, making it only slightly smaller than Apple’s iPad 2. However, it is shaped like a wedge, which according to Sony makes it easier to hold and improves stability.

September Release

The S2 meanwhile is a clamshell-design that has two 5.5-inch displays that can fold closed. This makes it small enough to fit into the inside pocket of a jacket for example. The two screens can either be used together as one large screen or separately, allowing users to watch a video on one screen and input commands on the other, or check email on one screen and use the other as a soft keyboard. When Sony was showing off these devices it did not officially confirm a release date, although it did say they would arrive in the Autumn. And this release date seems increasingly likely after theEngadget blog said that it had seen “a private note sent from Sony’s marketing group” that gives a release date of late September for at least one of Sony’s tablets.According to the note, the UK retailers of the Sony tablets will be Sony’s online retail arm (Sony Direct), the department store John Lewis, and a third still-unconfirmed retailer at launch. It will apparently offer the tablets to other retailers after the Christmas holiday.
Teaser Video
Meanwhile Sony is offering potential buyers a somewhat criptic teaser video on YouTube, which whilst interesting to watch, does not reveal a great deal of information about the final look and feel of the device.Sony is joining the tablet party relatively late, although it has previously stated its intention to become the number two tablet provider behind Apple. However Sony has its work cut out, as there are a host of rival tablet offerings from other vendors. Research in Motion has recently launched its Playbook based on the QNX operating system, Motorola has its Xoom, Acer has its Iconia Tabs, Asus has its Eee Pad Transformer and HP has its webOS-based TouchPad. And of course not forgetting Samsung’s range of Galaxy Tabs.

Sony NGP is based on a system-on-chip with four ARM Cortex-A9 cores

Sony Computer Entertainment has unveiled official name and price of its next-generation portable game console previously known as NGP. The device will cost PlayStation Vita, will start to emerge on the market starting late in 2011 and will cost $249 in the U.S.
SCE announced PlayStationVita (PS Vita) as the official platform name for NGP. A Wi-Fi model will be available for ¥24980 yen (including tax) in Japan, $249 in the U.S. and €249 in Europe, while a 3G/Wi-Fi model will be available for ¥29980 yen (including tax) in Japan, $299 in the U.S. and €299 in Europe. PS Vita will launch in the global market starting at the end of 2011. AT&T, which powers the U.S.’s fastest mobile broadband network, will be the exclusive service provider in the United States for PlayStation Vita.
Derived from the Latin word "Vita", which means "Life" this next generation portable entertainment system enables a robust combination of rich gaming and social connectivity within a real world context, Sony said.
Other Business News:

Sony NGP is based on a system-on-chip with four ARM Cortex-A9 cores, PowerVR SGX543MP4+ graphics engine and a memory controller. The new portable game console has 5" multi-touch OLED screen with 960x544 resolution, typical set of PSP buttons, two cameras (front and rear), Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, GPS, six-axis motion sensing system (three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer), three-axis electronic compass, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR controller, integrated speakers and microphone as well as multi touchpad located on the back side of the system. For the first time, a portable entertainment system will feature two analog sticks, which enable a wider range of game genres to be brought into the portable experience.
Sony's ability to hang on to its own roadmaps seems to be on a par with its ability to stop hackers from breaking into its networked media services. Every dark corner of the internet knew that Sony would introduce a new handheld gaming device at E3 and change the name from the Next Generation Portable to the Playstation Vita, which means 'life' in Latin. But Sony followed up with details about specifications and features and announced some of its flagship 3D game titles that will be coming out soon.
Sony VP of marketing Scott Steinberg blogged the full details of the Playstation Vita, which will have a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, the SGX543MP4+ GPU chip, a 5in OLED capacitive multi-touch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 960x544 display resolution. Sony is refitting the two analogue sticks so they're easier to use than those on the Playstation Portable and the Playstation Vita will get six-axis motion sensing, two built cameras and a built in GPS.
